National Gravity Enduro podium for DC

Coops again dabbling in the newest MTB format, finishing second – 1.79 seconds off the win – at the National Gravity Enduro race at Stromlo Forest Park in Canberra on the weekend. On his Trek Fuel EX 9.9 29er Cooper used every bit of his 130mm of travel, working the bike hard to maximise time where a lighter and shorter travel bike would make time, but minimising time lost on tracks made for big hit bikes. It was amazing to see how close the racing was after over 23 minutes of total racing time, with such a mix of riders and bikes competing.

The race offered a mix of tracks, all requiring a high level of skills and of course fitness. Including the famous World Champs downhill course. Chris Panozzo took another GE series win, with Cannan third.

Great race report and photos from the day by Ben Sykes on Pink bike here.
